Our first session is a chance for us to meet and see how it feels to work together. I’ll explain a bit about how I work, answer any questions you might have, and give you space to talk about what’s brought you here. There’s no pressure to share everything at once.

Everyone is different — some people come for a few weeks, others for longer-term work. We’ll review together as we go along.

No — my role isn’t to give instructions, but to help you explore your thoughts and feelings so you can make your own choices.
-
That’s completely normal. Many people feel unsure at first. We’ll take it step by step, and you’re welcome to ask any questions.
-
Yes. I work within the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) ethical framework, which means I take your privacy and wellbeing very seriously. Everything you share is confidential, with a few legal and safety exceptions, which I’ll explain clearly before we start.

I support clients with a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, childhood experiences, and the challenges of living with neurodiversity. I also have particular experience working with men around mental health, relationship breakdowns, and big life transitions — including adjusting after time in prison. That said, my practice is open to people of all backgrounds, and the focus is always on what you need from therapy.

I offer face-to-face sessions in Walthamstow, South Woodford and Barkingside, as well as online and telephone sessions if that’s easier for you.
-
Sessions start from £60 per 50-minute session. I can offer some sessions at a concession rate - please contact me for further details. Payment can be made by bank transfer or cash (for in-person sessions).

If you need help right now you can access NHS services, please call 111 or in an emergency, 999.
There are other online and telephone services who can help, including the Samaritans (call on 116 123). You can text "SHOUT" to 85258 for free from all major UK mobile networks. You'll then be connected to a volunteer for an anonymous conversation by text message.
